During this time, many people wrote and called the Zoo expressing discontent with the situation at the Hippo habitat. They missed seeing the fun and fascinating hippos. Residents wanted the habit rebuilt so that they could enjoy good hippo watching times with their families. Read more at Wikipedia about James Dondero.
